Why? Check out ebay, which is selling one of the Georgia Tech NCAA Final Four rings from 1990. Time for Brian Murphy to do some investigative work again. The player name and number were hidden in the photo. Here's the write-up:
I am selling a 1990 Georgia Tech Final Four Championship Ring. In 1990 the Yellow Jackets went to the Final Four. They didn't win but players were awarded rings anyway for being in the tournament. The front of the ring says Georgia Tech ACC Champions Final Four 1990. On one side is the player's name and number and team record for the year and the other side is the Final Four Denver logo. This ring is very rare and hard to find. This is an actual players ring. I will not reveal the name of the player until the ring is paid for. The ring is in nice condition with some minor aging. The blue stone in the center of the ring is slightly cracked but hard to notice. Overall the ring is nice. It is 10k Gold and weighs aprox 31 Grams and is size 14 1/2. This ring is a great collectible for a Georgia Tech fan or a championship ring collector. I will ship to the USA only. You can pay with paypal. I will only ship to a confimed paypal address. I will accept postal money order also. Thank you and good luck bidding
Maybe this will turn out to be a stolen ring or something. I hope so, because you would hate for someone to be in a financial situation that would lead them to put this on ebay............
