Hoops: "the Next Paul Hewitt"

This is a phrase we've heard a lot recently. What does it mean when people say it? Well, it typically means a young, up-and-coming, hotshot, black coach who has coached at the mid-major level or as an assistant with a big school, who can take their team to the promise-land. Thank goodness for Georgia Tech fans we don't have to look for "... the next Paul Hewitt". They're using it with Virginia's new coach:

Can Leitao deliver? The Cavaliers hope he's their Paul Hewitt, a former Villanova assistant with limited head-coaching experience (three seasons at Siena) who took Georgia Tech to the Final Four in his fourth season. The Cavaliers hope he's not their Matt Doherty, a former Kansas assistant with minimal big-whistle background (one season at Notre Dame) who lasted all of three years at North Carolina, his alma mater.
