Around the Hive

HOOPS
Whoops - not good for Kentucky fans. Another story here......... Is Luke going to get drafted? Here are some details, as evidently many teams are looking closely.

Quote from Luke's dad:

"The agent he's actually signed with said he's got a very good chance of probably going low in the first round to high-medium in the second round so he'll be in the mix that's for sure."

This story mentions him........ Here's more:

Lloyd says South Australian 214cm centre Luke Schenscher, playing at Georgia Tech, is a good chance to be a second-round pick in the NBA draft.

In case you didn't know, Schensher was selected for the Aussie Olympic team.......On the recruiting front, Javaris Crittenton and Tywon Lawson aren't the only talented PG's interested in GT. Sherron Collins is another one.

FOOTBALL
Will schools "follow Dave Braine's lead" and schedule a pansy with the new 12th game? They should. Hate it, but they should.

So it's a pretty good bet that a lot of I-A athletics directors will follow the lead of Georgia Tech's Dave Braine, who said the Yellow Jackets plan to use the 12th game as a home game every season -- probably against a I-AA opponent and certainly not against a I-A team that could be Top 25 material.

Honoring the old school - John Butler, a former GT player.

BEESBALL
Looks like we may not play UGA a 3rd time. It's already been rescheduled twice, and it would mean that Tech might have to play a bunch of games in a few days. Important decision for Coach Hall, but let's face it - it's not that important in the scheme of things. ACC games are priority #1...... Here's more....
