Interesting blurb about Bronco players that transitioned from Hoops to Football, including an attempt by the English Bee, Karl Brown.....
Karl Brown, 1990: Brown had played football -- just not what Americans call "football." The Leicester, England native was a soccer player in his homeland, but began playing basketball as an exchange student in Homestead, Fla., which earned him a chance to play at Georgia Tech. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Brown attempted to make the Broncos' squad as a defensive back after being a defensive stopper for a Yellow Jackets squad that made the school's first-ever Final Four appearance -- doing so at the since-demolished McNichols Sports Arena.
