EDITED - NEW STORIES ADDED:
DEVILS, JACKETS TIED
DUKE STRUGGLES ON BACK NINE
Well, the Jackets made up some ground on day 2 of the ACC Golf Championship, ending the day tied with Duke for 1st place. For awhile it looked like Duke would try to run away with it, but Tech made a charge on the back nine, shooting a -2 as a team score. What's impressive is that the Jackets have not had to count a score higher than 74 in either round, even in the windy conditions.
In other golf news, Matt Kuchar got the last sponsor's exemption into the MCI Heritage Tourney and he's making the best of it. He's currently tied for 12th heading into the final round, at 2 under. Stewart Cink is tied for 51st at 6 over.
