Great report at the Hive from a Chan Gailey speech. I have to reprint the ending paraphrase of a Gailey quote:
To sum up the event, I leave with a quote (or as close as I can remember it) from CCG. I think it embodies the overarching theme of the night.
"When I die and I go to heaven and meet St. Peter, it will probably be the only time I'm not asked about my won - loss record; I'll be asked whether I made a difference. I want my job at Tech to make a difference in the lives of these young men. It is partly selfish because Tech people are going to be the leaders for my grandkids and great grandkids. The impact I have on these young men could very well have an effect on their lives."
