More confirmation that Jarrett Jack will enter his name into the draft but not hire an agent, this time from the hometown rag.....
Draft analyst Chris Monter, publisher of Monter Draft News, said Jack is in the next tier of point guards, along with high school stars Louis Williams (South Gwinnett) and Monta Ellis (Jackson, Miss.).
"Jack is a likely late first-round pick, although by staying in school, he could go higher as the competition level is not nearly as a high at point guard in the 2006 draft," Monter said.
However, Jack will take the opportunity to showcase his wares during workouts with NBA teams.
If it appears he will be drafted in the bottom portion of the first round — in the No. 25-30 range — Jack will likely give serious consideration to returning to school, sources said. If it appears he'll be picked higher, it's more likely he'd remain in the draft.
