Hopefully that is just a play on words - "return to the floor".

Well, honorable mention actually. But nice anyhow. If he could hit a few more outside shots he probably would have made it.

WRITER CRUSHES THE ACC
This guy is absolutely trying to crush the ACC "bias" in the media. While I have no doubt the ACC is the media darling conference, this guy also ignores many facts in making his argument. Of course he's not biased either - he covers Notre Dame, a member of the Big East.
Here is what he said about GT:
Wake Forest, North Carolina and Duke are all fine teams and deserving of the hype and credit they receive. But to anoint Georgia Tech and Maryland as sure-fire tournament teams based on preseason predictions and exaggerated claims of league superiority is ludicrous.
Georgia Tech is 13-7 overall, 4-5 in the league and has lost five of its last seven. Maryland is also 13-7 overall, 4-5 in the league and has lost its last two … to Clemson and Miami.
Hey loser, guess what? Nobody is saying GT is a tourney lock right now. Finish 8-8 in conference and GT will be in. Finish 7-9 and we are praying for some of that "bias".
In the meantime, let me remind you - most of the ACC fans don't like Dickey V and those other Tobacco Road homers either.
HEWITT THE SPORTSWRITER?
Funny blurb about how Hewitt almost became a sportswriter:
It's startling how many people have shared Reid's desire before moving on to bigger and better things. Before the NCAA men's basketball final last year, Georgia Tech Coach Paul Hewitt said he had covered some games for his college paper but decided to take another path after a visit to the placement office.
``I saw some of the entry-level salaries,'' Hewitt cracked.
