Arthur Crawford, Owner/CEO of the new ABA Atlanta Mustangs professional basketball team (formerly the Gwinnett Gwizzlies) announced today things are moving very rapidly with the team. According to Crawford, the former owner of the Biloxi Gulf Coast Gambler basketball team, an NBA professional basketball agent and former Executive Director of The Boys and Girls Club, "We have been very fortunate to be able to put together an outstanding group of very experienced people to jump start this team with such short notice and things are going very well."
James Bynum will serve as the team's General Manager. The team is being put together under the direction of Head Coach, Brook Steppe, a former All-American basketball standout with Georgia Tech and former NBA player. The team's first away games will be played beginning Nov 20th in Nashville TN against the Nashville Rhythm with the home opener scheduled for Friday, December 3rd.
