Ok, here's the latest:
1. Virginia has opted out of the Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando due to conflicts with exams
2. GT would be the next logical choice, meaning UVA would probably head to Boise.
3. The Champs Sports Bowl does not want Georgia Tech. Sound familiar? Evidently nobody wants GT to play in their bowl.
4. However, there are a couple of scenarios where Virginia could actually move UP in the bowl chase and someone like Miami could end up in Orlando.
5. As a result, we will probably have to wait another week until this Sunday to see how the picture clears up. There is an outside chance that they could go ahead and invited GT on Monday, but it is not likely.
6. The CSB in Orlando is on December 21, so the clock is ticking. Every day that goes by, they lose ticket sales. You have to give people a chance to make their plans.
