Well, we know the PAC 10 is not likely to fill 3 bowl slots (Emerald, Silicone Valley, Las Vegas). We all hope that if the ACC has more than 6 bowl eligible teams, the league can sign up with an unfilled bowl slot.
Well, the Silicone Valley will sign up with a team from Mid-American conference so they are out. The Emerald is looking at Navy because they pack in the cadets, although they are looking at the possibility of an ACC team. Lastly the Las Vegas Bowl will wait until the BCS matchups are announced if they have an open slot.
Now, it is also possible that the SEC and Big 12 have one open bowl slot each. Here is a story on the whole thing.
