WHO'S GOING TO THE BLUE TURF??
The Miners have just Tulsa and Southern Methodist remaining on the schedule, and with a pair of wins would likely earn a spot in the MPC Computers Bowl in Boise on Dec. 27.
Boise football fans would likely be in for a treat, as the ever-strong Atlantic Coast Conference would send its No. 6 pick. The teams in contention for that spot are likely Clemson, North Carolina and Georgia Tech. The most likely teams are Georgia Tech and North Carolina, which are currently tied for fifth.
PEACH BOWL POSSIBILITIES FOR GT / UGA
Well, the interesting thing is that it basically says that UGA will not play GT in the Peach Bowl (if you read between the lines). To get in, UGA has to LOSE to GT, but for GT to get in they would have to win their last two against UVA and UGA. Heck, who wants us two playing again anyhow? Not me. Let's kill 'em once and be done with it.
SPORTS ILLUSTRATED BOWL PROJECTIONS
They have us getting the open bid for the Las Vegas Bowl. While many GT fans would enjoy this, I personally think it would suck to have another non-driving bowl game. We NEED an east coast bowl.
However, here's an interesting vacation bit. If this comes true we would be playing December 23 in the LV Bowl. Well, on December 18 the hoops team will be playing Gonzaga in the Las Vegas Showdown. With gambling in-between, could be quite a holiday.
