Well, it looks like the entire ACC is publicly against the use of Creatine, expect our man Coach Gailey. He doesn't say he is for it either, but you be the judge: Story here.
“If you’re not looking for an edge somehow, some way, then you’re not trying to be as successful as you can be,” Gailey said. “As long as you’re within the rules, every edge you can get, you ought to take it.”
Now, that story might be a little misleading on Gailey's position. Here's another one - link here. Here is their quote from Gailey:
Georgia Tech coach Chan Gailey said he doesn't tell his players whether or not to take creatine.
"We let them use their judgment," Gailey said. "We do a good job of explaining to our staff what we can and can't do."
Now, Tommy Bowden has to have the quote of the year on this subject:
Clemson coach Tommy Bowden said Wednesday he thought the NCAA had banned creatine. Bowden said he doubts players are spending money on creatine, because “they’ve got those tennis shoes, bling-bling and clothing over creatine,” he said. “I haven’t found one yet who picks creatine.”
Are you kidding me? Didn't baby Bowden really say this? Well, it's obvious TB is trying to build some street cred to help his recruiting rep int he urban areas. Peace out.
