Written before the game, but a good re-cap of the Jackets.

JACKETS COPING WITH LOSS OF JEREMIS SMITH
The article doesn't mention it, but Smith's MRI came back looking ok. If you can believe this - Smith could be back in 6-12 weeks. Amazing.

ACC-BIG10 CHALLENGE
This on GT:

Question: How important was Jeremis Smith to Georgia Tech? The freshman forward, the Jackets' first big man off the bench, was lost for the season last week against Arkansas-Little Rock. Without Smith's 15 minutes per game, the Jackets will either have to lean harder on Theodis Tarver or play some tiny lineups against a Michigan team that has four post players, all 6-8 or bigger, in the rotation.

ANOTHER BANNER YEAR?

JACKETS STILL FIGHT NAGGING INJURIES
At one point at the start of the second half, Elder tweaked his ankle, as did Bynum. Isma'il Muhammad and Elder both battled thigh cramps. In between stretching out and peddling on a stationary bike, each found ways to punish the Wolverines.

DWIGHT HOWARD INTERVIEW
Q&A, and this on college:
Matt (Norwalk, CT): Dwight, congragulations on a great start of your NBA career. IF you did not go straight into the league from high school, what college would you have gone to?

Dwight Howard: The colleges I thought about were UNC and Georgia Tech and Duke.
