Don't have time for a lot of posts, so here's a wrap-up of significant activities in the world of GT..........Luke Schenscher was named the GT Wendy's Athlete of the Week (any family resemblence to Wendy?? A little nepotism maybe??)..... Reggie Ball doesn't see the Bowl game as an audition for a job in 2005, even though most fans do. You know what, he's right. It doesn't matter how good he plays, the job is open in the spring. He could play a perfect game and it still doesn't change an inconsistent season - in fact it just reinforces it. So in some ways that might hurt Reggie, as he seems to perform best when he thinks he's about to lose something..................Robert Brooks has boot camp waiting for him. He's a good man, and instead of enlisting as an officer, which he could have done, he has decided to start at the bottom to gain the respect of people he may command one day. Semper Fi!!!!........... I know I'm bouncing, but sorry. Here's a story about how recruiting time is big during pre-bowl time........... Speaking of recruiting, we already have a couple of commits from this weekend's big visits (13 total visits). I'll post more later, and we are still in the thick of it with some big names on the board........... Here's some recruiting tidbits from the state of SC........Word is that PJ Daniels will be 100% for the bowl game - good news........ Both AP and ESPN/USAToday polls are out and the Jackets are still #3 in both, although we picked up a couple of 1st place votes with the coaches............ The GT volleyball team finished the season 31st in overall attendence........ Is college hoops better than the NBA? No doubt........ Did you know that Under Armour's first client was Georgia Tech.......... As the days cget closer to the Jan 1 GT/Kansas hoops match-up, it is apparent that KU's freshman are not living up to their billing quite yet. Here's more on KU getting ready before "bellying up" to GT......... The pundits are really panning our bowl game, "if you're watching get a life", "send us a postcard".
