I don't care if it is the chess club. A win is a win. This story mentions Paul Hewitt being surprised at the intensity of the hoops rivalry between the Dawgs and Jackets:

BIG WIN: The rivalry between Georgia Tech and Georgia in men's basketball isn't as bitter as the schools' rivalry in football, but "it's close," Yellow Jackets hoops coach Paul Hewitt said.


"I have to tell you, when I came down here, I didn't realize how intense the rivalry was."


Hewitt, who's in his fifth season in Atlanta, understands now. That made the Jackets' performance Sunday, when they crushed the Bulldogs 87-49, especially satisfying.
