Why would I want to give you GT ties to West Virginia? I wouldn't. But this guy would.
Champs Sports Bowl (Dec. 21), Syracuse vs. Georgia Tech -- There are several ties here. Former Hurricane Redskin and longtime West Virginia assistant coach Steve Dunlap is the Syracuse defensive coordinator. Former Marshall Athletic Director Dave Braine is the Georgia Tech AD.
Yellow Jacket defensive coordinator Jon Tenuta was an assistant coach at Marshall in 1986 and ‘87, and was the defensive coordinator when Marshall lost in the NCAA Division I-AA title game. Andrew Parrish, the son of former Marshall Coach Stan Parrish, who attended pre-school in Huntington, is a graduate assistant in the Tech athletic department.
