Matteson misses his PGA Tour card, but does get an exemption for the Nationwide Tour:

The top 30 players and ties in the 164-man field earned their PGA Tour cards for the 2005 season. The next 50 finishers earned full exemptions to the Nationwide Tour.


Troy Matteson earned an exemption on the Nationwide Tour with a 2-under 70 to finish tied for 58th at 429.


Matteson, the 2002 NCAA champion at Georgia Tech, grew up in Knoxville and attended junior high school in Oak Ridge before moving to Austin, Texas.
