GEORGIA TECH'S SEASON SIMILAR TO ORANGE
Gailey seems to have a big fan from the Orange, their head coach:

Pasqualoni said Gailey, the former head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, has "an unbelievable background in football at the highest levels. A great guy. Just doing a really good job at Georgia Tech."

The winningest bowl team in NCAA history is coming to Orlando. Florida Citrus Sports (FCS) has extended an invitation to Georgia Tech to play in the 2004 Champs Sports Bowl, FCS Executive Director Tom Mickle announced Tuesday.

COLLEGE BOWLS FAR TOO CROWDED
A look back at some past national championship controversy:
1991 -- Colorado and Georgia Tech shared national honors. Colorado squeaked by Notre Dame (10-9) in the Orange Bowl (the final bowl game of the day). Earlier, Georgia Tech whipped Nebraska 45-21 in the Citrus Bowl. Tech, the only unbeaten team in major college football, believed it should have won the national title outright, but voters felt Colorado had the tougher schedule.

Fallout from Texas' last-day fortune reached Orlando, where the Champs Sports Bowl lost its Big 12 team (Colorado) and picked up Big East co-champion Syracuse to play Georgia Tech.
