The Knights are one of two American Basketball Association franchises starting up in metro Atlanta, joining the Atlanta Mustangs. Originally an ABA team, the Gwinnett Gwizzlies have resurfaced in another league.

The Gwizzlies initial coach, former Georgia Tech star and NBA player Brook Steppe, now coaches the Mustangs, who haven't secured a home, but are leaning toward Morris Brown College in Atlanta, a team spokesman said.
