Where are they now - Richard Lewis / Matt Murton

The former Jacket beesball player is mentioned in this story:

2B Richard Lewis – Iowa

Background:
Richard was selected in the first round by the Braves in the 2001 June draft out of Georgia Tech University where he was one of nine Yellow Jackets selected in the first 20 rounds of the that draft. Lewis was traded to the Cubs along with LHP Andy Pratt for RHP Juan Cruz and LHP Steve Smyth in March 2004.

The Facts:
In 2002, he led the Carolina League second basemen with a .985 fielding percentage. In 2003, he tied for team lead in stolen bases 19 for Greenville. Then in 2004, he was named Southern League Most Valuable Player and was named to the Southern League mid-season and post-season all-star teams with West Tenn. After being promoted to Iowa August 5, he broke his leg sliding into second base in a stolen base attempt in the final game of the regular season on September 6. He hit in a career-high13 straight games May 23-June 5.

This year, in 37 games Lewis is hitting .203 in 118 at bats and has 8 RBIs. He is obviously still trying to recover from the broken leg, but he has already proven that he has the talent to make it to the big leagues.

And here's mention of Matt Murton:
