Football Recruiting - #18 the Real Deal

Well, the Jackets pulled a real coup today by landing bigtime D-Lineman Derrick Morgan. how bigtime? Well, let's just say the folks at Penn State and Ohio State are absolutely lockjawed. They are in shock. Their discussion boards are degrading into putdowns of ATL........... Anyhow, let's rundown Mr.Morgan's background:

Derrick Morgan
from Pennsylvania
6'4", 260 lb
4.9-40
GPA 3.8 / SAT 1480
Rivals.com 4 star, Rivals top100 (#90 in nation), #8 DE, #1 Player in state of PA
Scout.com 4 star, #10 DE in the nation,
Offer sheet - Penn St, Ohio State, Miami, BC, NCST...(and many others)

The Rivals.com bio says:

Looks like he has the body to grow some more. Has an excellent takeoff. Excellent feet. Can change directions. Excellent in pursuit, plays really hard. Very physical at the point of attack. Could play either DE or DT in college. "

Derrick plans to graduate early and enroll in January. Just an outstanding get by Chan Gailey and staff. Impressive.

Evidently there is about 1 more spot left, although signs point to maybe signing up to 21. However, this is all going to depend on attrition. Current underclassman are going to have to leave the program to bring in more recruits. So if there are more on the way, then the staff knows about some players leaving for one reason or another (transfer, injury, etc).
