Emotional Chan Gailey

Did any of you see Chan Gailey's post-game speech to the team after the Miami win? It was a moving scene -worth a transcript. He was seriously on the verge of tears the whole time. He had to stop at one point. Here's what he said:'

Chan Gailey - "I'm so proud of you."....... pauses, holding his clenched fist in front of his body, fighting tears....... then a player yells - "We love you too coach" ......... then as a group they started yelling "Yeah".......... then one player shouts "Let it go coach", as he continues to hold that fist clenched.................... Then coach continues - "Let me tell you something. Character...... there is no substitute for it.......... How you work......... How you play............ the heart you show............. and a lot of people think that's stuff that doesn't matter.............. it's just height, weight and speed and all that. "............Coach starts shaking his finger to the group.................. "that's not it.............. It's all here", and he starts pounding his heart......... Then in a sobbing voice says.............. "that's where it is.......... I am so proud of you"

I would love to see someone get that clip on the 'net. It was quite moving and I can understand why recruits think the guy is genuine and why parents would want their kids to play for a guy like that................. The thing is - these rah rah speeches are not Coach Gailey's thing. He's a humble guy. That speech was from his heart - you could tell. Certainly just confirms for me that we have the right guy.
