The update GT Hoops roster can now be found here.
Here is the GT schedule. I will try to come out with a more detailed analysis of the winners and losers in terms of scheduling when I have time.
Here are highlights for GT's schedule:
Nov 30....Michigan (ACC/Big 10 challenge)
Dec 5.....UGAg
Dec 19....Gonzaga (in Las Vegas)
Jan 1.....at Kansas (GT bowl game AND this?)
Jan 6.....Miami (ACC slate begins)
Folks, once ACC play starts Jan 6, there are NO more out-of-conference games. All ACC from then on out.
18 out of 27 games are against teams that made either the NCAA or NIT tourney.
In terms of the round robin, here are the ACC teams we play twice, home-and-away:
Miami, Wake Forest, FSU, Duke, Clemson, NC ST.
Teams we only play once:
UVA, @UNC, VT, @MD
So we only play Maryland and UNC once, but both are road games.
No doubt this is a harder schedule than last season, and not just because the ACC is tougher. Not only do we play Mich, GZ, Kansas, but also Illinois-Chicago, Alabama St and Air Force, all who made the NCAA.
Other ACC Schedules:
FSU
NC ST
North Carolina
Virginia
Clemson
Duke
Maryland
Virginia Tech (not posted on their site)
Miami
Wake Forest
