Those who follow Georgia Tech football recruiting know that GT assistant coach Buddy Geis has a son that is the head coach at Jacksonville FL's Sandalwood high. If you knew that you would also know that Tech has missed out on some high profile guys like Maurice Wells (chose Ohio St. over GT), Marvin Sapp (committed to GT then changed mind to go to SC), Jamar Hornsby (Florida), that came from that school.
What you may not have known is that Sandalwood's offensive coordinator and QB coach the past two seasons also happens to be a Georgia Tech grad - Scott Anderson - and he was just named the new head coach at East Gadsden High, near Tallahassee. Anderson has been an assistant coach at Duke, Kentucky State Indiana State, and West Texas State.
