Football Recruiting - More Good News Coming?

Found this blurb from Phil Kornblut that DJ Donley is close to commiting and GaTech is still his leader. Also interesting is the note that his teammate Seth Nettles really wants to go to Tech and claims an offer, although it is apparently his only offer at the moment...........

WR D.J. Donley (6-5 200) of Folkston, GA is getting close to making his decision according to his coach Rich McWhorter. "He doesn't want it (recruiting) to go on any longer than it has to," McWhorter said. "Georgia Tech is his favorite ahead of South Carolina and Florida. He went to Georgia this past weekend and found out what he wanted to find out and was satisfied with what he knew." Donley attended a USC camp in June. From a list of 12 offers, he has narrowed his list to USC, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Florida. And McWhorter said OL Seth Nettles (6-4 285) "wants to go to Georgia Tech and it's just a matter of time" before he commits. Tech his his only offer though he's also drawn interest from USC, Georgia, Duke, Central Florida, Wake Forest and Tennessee.

Folks, I'm telling you - Calvin Johnson is a recruiting magnet. Kids want to see him, meet him. He's really larger than life and you watch the video I posted below and you can see why. All I can say is thank heavens we have a QB that forces him to make unbelievably acrobatic catches or he might not be near the legend he has already become after two seasons.
