paul hewitt camp comment

Interesting blurb about a high school coaches attendence at a GT Team Camp:

Q: What did you do during the off-season to improve as a team?

A: We knew we needed to get stronger, so we spent time in the weight room and also got to play a lot of games during the summer as well. We also took part in Georgia Tech's Team Camp with Yellow Jackets coach Paul Hewitt. We learned a lot about how to compete there, and people really left their egos at the door. It was one of the best evenings that I've spent as a coach. He also told us that the majority of the game is "not about the X's and O's, but about the Jimmy's and Joe's", referring to the fact that it is the players that win the games.

Not about X's and O's, it's about Jimmy's and Joe's. Well, we haven't heard THAT one before. Is that sort of a "don't hate the playa, hate the game" reference?
