Well, we squeeked by Greece yesterday with TeamUSA. The media was hyping up the crowd noise, but Stephon said that he had louder games at Clemson - link here. Although by the sounds of this version of the story, Stephon's comments might have been out of line with what others thought:
A rare sold-out house that included the mayor of Athens had a fine time at the Americans' expense. Flapping blue and white national flags, the Greek fans booed every time a U.S. player touched the ball.
"That crowd was crazy out there," Carmelo Anthony said. "We had a little crowd of our own, but it was like it wasn't even worth it."
And hostile?
"Sounded just like Boston does during a playoff game," the New Jersey Nets' Jefferson said.
"Reminded me of Clemson," said Stephon Marbury, recalling his college days at Georgia Tech.
