No doubt a strong start to the season will be key to getting any shot at Hiesman consideration for PJ Daniels. From the Corpus Cristi Caller Times:
Eyes were popping this past January when Georgia Tech running back P.J. Daniels ran through and around the Tulsa defense for 307 yards at the Humanitarian Bowl. It was the conclusion of a season that saw Daniels have three other games with 162 yards or more.
The junior from Houston will get the chance to do more damage in a offense that returns its quarterback and most of the offensive line.
