Recruiting - Football

While we landed a couple of verbals as posted below, we missed out on a couple of guys too - WR Michael Thomas from Texas committed to Arizona - link here. Number 1 consideration for him - playing time, and he sees he will get it early at AZ........... Also, Aaron Lewis will announce next week and it won't be the Jackets, that's for certain. Will come down to FSU and Texas.

Don't worry too much about all the early commits at UVA. Just because you get a bunch of verbals early does not mean they are the best guys. It really reflects different recruiting strategies, and Coach Gailey and staff seem to have a more deliberate process. They do seem more aggressive at this point in the year than they have been before, but still very different from the UVA's of the world. GT is still in the running for some big names and of course so many things change over the summer and in the fall.
