Hoops Recruiting - Thaddeus Young Story

Nice story on Thad Young:

Some final thoughts from the 25th Beach Ball Classic last week ...

It seems to me that today's young stars are becoming less selfish on the court, looking to model themselves more after LeBron James than Kobe Bryant.

Mitchell's Thaddeus Young, rated as the No. 3 senior prospect by Rivals.com, was the highest-regarded player at the tournament, but he did not even lead his team in shots attempted through the semifinals.

That distinction went to Brandon Powell, a fine player who will suit up next year for Florida.

Young proved a great player does not always have to force himself into the offense. In the team's first three tournament games, all wins, Young took 38 shots but was able to average 24.7 points per game, which was good for fifth in the tournament thanks to an amazing 71 shooting percentage.

It looks as though Georgia Tech will enjoy a talented, selfless and levelheaded star, for at least one season.
