Football Recruiting - Jackets Losing O Lineman?

It looks like GT commit Heath Batchelor might be shopping himself around the other schools. He's the only O-Lineman we have committed and there was only going to be one in this class. So this story bears watching:

OL Heath Batchelor (6-7 290) of Haleyville, AL has been committed to Georgia Tech since October and remains so, but he is beginning to look at other options, including USC. Batchelor said the Gamecocks have been showing serious interest and he talked Sunday night with recruiter Ron Cooper who plans to visit him at school once it starts back January 10th. Batchelor said he hopes to set an official visit with the Gamecocks. Arkansas recently offered and he will visit there January 20th. He has visited Georgia Tech. Batchelor said Georgia Tech's offensive line coach will visit him Wednesday and Arkansas head coach Houston Nutt will be in on Friday.

A recent Rivals article quotes Batchelor as saying he committed to the Jackets so he could lock in to a bigtime program early, and now will explore what other options he has. Hate to say it, but the staff better start looking elsewhere. If you're only going to sign on offensive lineman, you better make it a good one. Don't get left at the alter, then have to scramble for somebody. Find someone now I say and go after them harder.
