Jackets edge Tarheels

Given my bleak outlook for most of this season, I'll lay this one out there: Tech will win on Saturday despite (perhaps because of) the demoralizing loss to Dook last week.

A few notes:

1- for once in history, our pass defense will carry us. Darian Durant will throw early and often, forcing us to adjust. I've liked what I've seen out of the backfield in our good performances this year.

2- P.J. will have a big game--200 yarder. He's been doing the work all season, but this D-line can't stop him, they can only hope to contain him.

3- Ball plays mistake-free football. It won't be flashy, but every other pass is a scramble/throw out of bounds--exactly what a freshman QB should be doing, especially after beating himself up all week. Put the ball in the hands of the tight end and/or J Smith and run/run/run to chew up clock.

Tech 17, UNC 7 - another win for the defense.
