Well, maybe that's what you get when a bunch of high school players play an international group of men. USA loses 94-76. Here's how the GT recruits stacked up:
Anthony Morrow
13 points, 4-10 FG, 2-5 3pt, 3-3 FT, 4 boards, 2 assists
Buck Fredrick
9 points, 3-7 FG, 1-4 3pt, 2-2 FT, 2 boards, 1 assist
Ra'Sean Dickey
5 points, 1-6 FG, 0-0 3pt, 3-6 FT, 5 boards, 1 assist
Jeremis Smith
23 points, 8-14 FG, 0-0 3pt, 7-10 FT, 12 boards, 1 assist
Potential signees
Byron Eaton
0 points, no shots, only 1 board
Kevin Rogers
0 points, 0-1 FG, 1 board
I think it is safe to say that J-Smith was the man for Team USA with 23 points and 12 boards, both highs for the team. Virtually all of his points were right around the hoops, so I imagine "workhorse" is the right word.
