The Jackets lost a tough game at home today against Maryland 88-86. However, when you spot the other team a quick lead early in the ballgame, sometimes you just end up trying to crawl out of the hole the rest of the way. That was the story of the game, as the Jackets just didn't play solid defense at all, giving up "scores" of easy layups and dunks - particularly in the first half.
Georgia Tech fought back to tie the game in the 2nd half, but just couldn't get over the hump. Disappointing for sure. They reverted back in some ways to the defensive lapses that plagued them early in the season. They didn't totally fall off the wagon, but this one does not inspire confidence that some magic corner has been turned.
No time for more than that tonight. Any thoughts from you?
