What's Buzzin' Tuesday

Not much time this week. Here are some quick hits.............. Interesting article on Sebastian Telfair with mention of Jarrett Jack. Portland management is considering whether to let Telfair / Jack have the reigns of the team, or actually bring in a veteran to lead the club until they are ready. Also looks like Jack will miss the entire summer league...........Isma'il Muhammad had quite the outing yesterday in summer league action, scoring 19 points in 27 minutes. He was 7-10 from the floor, 5-6 from the line (wow), had 2 boards, 2 assists and 6 steals. Wow again. 2 turnovers and 2 fouls rounded out the stat line...............Just like George O'Leary gets mentioned anytime talk of resumes comes up, Bobby Cremins gets mention in this widely distributed article about Gene Stephenson, who accepted the OK baseball coach only to change his mind a few days later.......... Here's an article on the NIKE Hoops Camp in Indy where Paul Hewitt was spotted.............. In golf, Chan Song is playing well at the 80th US Amateur Public Links Championship. He was tied for 1st after day one, and is currently tied for 6th......... A quick look at the ACC. Talk about a weak QB league when the top returning starters are Charlie Whitehurst and Reggie Ball. No slam against those guys, but last season was not stellar for either............ Hey we all wonder why coaches go for 2-point conversions early in the game. They use that stinkin' chart that tells them to. But this guy has come up with some better math that basically says - don't do it until the end of the game. Duhhh............. Hey, go rate Bobby Dodd stadium here at www.rateitall.com.................. Hey, you can even rate Chan Gailey, who currently gets a 3.15 / 5.00........
