That would be "Countdown to Signing Day" on Fox Sports. Coach Cremins was at the desk along with Hogwood and others and Clinch was in-studio as well. Talked about recruiting and how he went from being recruited by a few mid-majors to having Coach K, Skip Prosser, Bill Self, Dennis Felton, Herb Sendek and many others visiting with him. Clinch said that he thought that Coach Hewitt was a real straightforward. He said he liked guys like Dennis Felton and the UF coach, but that Coach Hewitt was the only one that only focused on selling GT. All the other coaches spent time pointing out why Clinch WOULD NOT be a good fit with other programs. That really bothered him.
In terms of playing he said he is comfortable at both the PG and SG position and that he feels he has a strong overall game, with both a mid-range and long-range jump shot. They said his game reminds them of BJ Elder. Lewis said that he had been focusing a lot on how Elder plays. He said those will be huge shoes to fill, but that he is confident he can contribute early.
Coach Cremins spoke to his mother, and said he was Lewis's #1 fan. She keeps a notebook with all his stats and game-notes.
Nice interview. Lewis was well-spoken and respectful - saying "yes sir" when questions were asked. Just seems like a great kid and a great fit for Georgia Tech. I can't wait to see him in uniform.
Of course, there is a little business to take care of before then.
