And then there is that intangible--the student in Greene--that sets him apart and makes him a special commodity. He’s learned what hard work and patience can bring, and how much focus the game demands. He hopes to teach what he’s learned to his younger, less experienced Yellow Jacket teammates, so they can experience what he felt that day two years ago at the ACC tournament. Only his sights are set a big higher.
"Our team goal is obviously to get to Omaha and win in Omaha," Greene said. "Our class hasn't experienced that. Individually, it's just to be consistent and lead by example. I'll say something when we need it, but I really just want to have a fun year and get to Omaha."
