The Brutal ACC continues

Well, Dook now has 5 ACC road wins. The rest of the ACC has a total of 5 road wins COMBINED!!!! Smoke'em if you got 'em! Bottom line is that Dook seems to have the league wrapped up all pretty with a bow. NC ST is clearly in 2nd and needs to stumble in the 2nd half for anyone to catch them. Then there's GT/FSU/WF/UNC/MD. Who is going to separate? Who is going to stand up and be counted?

Conf. Overall
Duke....................8-0..........19-1
NC State..............6-2..........13-5
Georgia Tech.......4-4...........16-5
Florida State........4-4..........16-6
Wake Forest........4-4..........13-5
North Carolina.....3-5..........13-6
Maryland..............3-5..........12-7
Virginia.................2-6..........12-7
Clemson...............2-6..........9-10

Here's how this thing lays out for remaining schedule:

........................Home Games.....................Away Games

GT.................UNC,WF,NCST,FSU..................UVA,MD,CU,DUKE
NCST..............FSU,DUKE,UNC,MD.................UVA,CU,GT,WF
FSU................CU,UVA,DUKE........................MD,NCST,UNC,WF,GT
WF.................UNC,DUKE,FSU,NCST.............CU,GT,MD,UVA
UNC................MD,FSU,CU...........................WF,GT,UVA,NCST,DUKE
MD..................FSU,GT,CU,WF,UVA................UNC,DUKE,NCST

So, GT, NCST and WF all get to play Clemson and UVA on the road. All possible wins for each team. FSU has a terrible 2nd half schedule, as they have to play MD, NCST, UNC, WF and GT all on the road. I think that will knock them out of contention for the 3rd spot in the ACC and drop them just above UVA/CU. UNC has to go on the road to GT, WF, NCST, UVA and DUKE. It is conceivable that they only win one of those games. They are in rough shape but could end strong.

Here's my prediction for the rest of the season:

Duke..............14-2
NCST...............11-5
GT...................10-6
WF..................9-7
UNC.................8-8
MD...................8-8
FSU.................7-8

All 7 get into the dance. What do you think?
