Road To Omaha: GT receives #8 Overall seed, hosts Stetson in Atlanta Friday 7PM ET

For the fourth year in a row, the Georgia Tech baseball team has a National seed. This means that hopefully the road to Omaha will have to go through Atlanta. The Jackets will face Stetson in Game 1 on Friday in Atlanta starting at 7pm. The Jackets, who finished 45-16 will face Stetson who finished the season at 38-22. Also in the Atlanta Bracket will be Michigan, and Vanderbilt. If Tech makes it through the bracket, they will face either Kentucky, Ball State, Notre Dame, or the College Of Charleston in the Super Regionals. Tech will play in Atlanta as it continues to advance all the way to Omaha.
Tech Director of Athletics Dan Radakovich was ecstatic about the efforts of the team, and encourages all of the fans in Atlanta to come out and support the boys.

We're really thrilled to be hosting a regional at Russ Chandler Stadium for the fifth straight year," said Tech Director of Athletics Dan Radakovich. "Danny Hall's team has played very well despite some key injuries, and they should be very proud of earning a national seed and the home field advantage that comes with it.

"I encourage all Georgia Tech fans to come out and support the Yellow Jackets in what will be a great weekend of college baseball. We're fortunate to be one of only two schools in the nation to host a regional the last five years, and we want to be able to continue to host year in and year out. Our crowds have been very good all year, and we need to fill up Russ Chandler Stadium, starting Friday."
