CJ Miles has eliminated Georgia Tech and will announce his decision Tuesday afternoon. My money's on Texas, but hard to underestimate Bill Self. Too bad.
For GT fans, most of the hype around recruiting will die down for awhile. We will hear a decision from A.Bynum (likely UNC of UConn), and we will see how Joe Wolfinger's visit to GT goes this coming weekend. This weekend will determine if GT even wants to put out an offer for JW.
After that, we'll wait to get those official LOI's in November, then see if coach follows any other recruits into the spring. You never know who will step up during this high school basketball season and get onto our radar.
So here's our class:
6'1" Austin Jackson (baseball situation unresolved)
6'3" Lewis Clinch (a flat out shooter / scorer)
6'6" D'Andre Bell (west coast physical player in the mold of Isma'il)
6'9" Alade Aminu (high potential bigman - raw)
6'9" Michael Johnson (on football 'ship; WANTS to walk-on hoops team)
Interestingly, this class could ultimately only take up 3 'ships with Austin Jackson a "walk-on" if he plays minor league baseball also, and M.Johnson a walk-on if he made the team). So, will we see Coach Hewitt put some other offers out for the 2005 class? We'll just have to wait and see.
Stay tuned.
