CHRIS BOSH
Another story about Chris Bosh and not being with the team. Very gracious no doubt. I love that he is giving some crap to Vince Carter (UNC) and D.Marshall (UConn), his teammates.
From the article - "He trash talks with Raptors teammate Vince Carter of North Carolina. "We put that to rest for this year," said Bosh, referring to Tech's two victories over the Tar Heels. And Donyell Marshall of Connecticut. "We got into a couple of discussions," said Bosh alluding to Tech's victory over UConn in the preseason NIT."
DENNIS SCOTT
Great quotes from 3D in this article on how excited he is for the team:
From the article - "Watching our guys win all those close games made all the memories come back," said Scott. "But 14 years is a long time to wait. It's time for Tech to make some new memories."
How about this from D-Scott on what he will tell the team - "I'm going to tell them that Mark Price and John Salley got this thing going," said Scott. "Then Lethal Weapon 3 raised the bar and got us to the Final Four. Then guys like Matt Harpring kept the tradition going. But now it's their turn. They've got a chance to raise the bar to a whole new level. And every guy who has ever played basketball at Georgia Tech is pulling for them. Lethal Weapon 3 had its time, but that was 14 years ago. We wrote our chapter in Georgia Tech basketball but people have been talking about it for too long. It's time for these guys to write a new chapter."
I'm sorry but that honestly brought a tear to my eye. INCREDIBLE!!!!!
BOBBY CREMINS
Coach Cremins was on FSN this morning talking about GT and their success. Talked very highly of PH. Said he tried to stay in the background. When they wanted to honor Coach Cremins, Cremins said "just put a banner up there next to Al Ciraldo and Whack Hyder, but Paul Hewitt insisted they name the court after me - what an honor". In the article above about D-Scott there is a blurb about Cremins being a nervous wreck. Don't doubt for a second that he doesn't bleed gold!!............ Here's another story on Bobby Cremins and a look back at Lethal Weapon 3.
