Coach Keener headed to JMU

It is true (ESPN story here) - Keener signs a 5-year deal worth in the neighborhood of $200,000 as the head man at James Madison U. How much you wanna bet they show up on our schedule in the next 3 years? Just a guess. Well, he will be missed in the A.T.L. One thing that bugs me is why this has to be announced during Final Four week. JMU wanted to put this thing to bed, but I hate having it as a distraction this week. I guess we'll deal with it.

So what does this mean for other coaching jobs. Here is my guess. Matt Doherty turned down the JMU job, so he is probably targeting the St.John's job (story here). That also means Bobby Gonzalez (Manhatten) will probably end up in Miami as they join the ACC. Just guesses, but stay tuned....... It is also true that Pete Gillen will be back as HC at Virginia.
