Mid-Season ACC review from CFN

College Football News has posted a mid-season review of the ACC - link here. Tech showed up in these categories:

Biggest Surprise - Georgia TechThe Yellow Jackets have been hammered by injuries, academic suspensions and started a freshman quarterback. It's amazing they're still in the hunt for a bowl game.

Coach of the Midseason - Chan Gailey, Georgia Tech: There haven't been any excuses allowed, even though it would be forgivable if the Yellow Jackets hit the skids this year. He's coached the heck out of this team. Can you imagine where things would be if all the parts were in place?

Top Freshman - Reggie Ball, QB Georgia TechHis statistics haven't been out of this world, but he appears to be the type of player Georgia Tech can build around. Above all else, he appears to be a winner.

Although I was a little surprised at their top 10 players at mid-season. Ball showed up at #10, but Jonathon Smith was nowhere to be found - leading the ACC in receiving yardage total and per game. He deserves to be on that list, certainly ahead of Jerrico Cotchery (#5) who is #2 in receiving in the ACC. PJ Daniels get honarable mention as well.
