Interview last July with Randolph Morris, a tech hoops recruit

Interview. 50-Cent AND Phil Collins. Quite a combo. By the way, Morris was recently visited in Atlanta by Rick Pittino. Of course he would love Morris at Lousville. Of course we would love him more at Tech. For a good pic of Morris, see this link and go about halfway down the page. Morris is another bright, smart kid that seems to come from a good family. He would fit in fantastic with Frederick/Morrow, who seem to have similar qualities. Maybe we could have our own academic AND athletic all-american team. When asked about going straight to the NBA, his father said "Definitely not. I can assure you of that. ... Randolph is not prepared for the NBA. He's still a kid. We want him to be able to experience college life as an adolescent so he can learn to be independent and responsible." If he picks Tech, we sure would love for him to experience 4 years of college life - ok I'm just getting stupid now.

Back in July, he was in an article on Rivals (excerpt): "We asked Morris about his recruitment and three schools rolled off his tongue. Georgia Tech, Kentucky and Notre Dame were the programs he listed. We know Seton Hall, Michigan and Louisville are also monitoring him as well. However, they are all chasing the Yellow Jackets at this juncture. On Thursday, Morris acknowledged Georgia Tech was his leader. “Mainly because of the location,” Morris said, “and their interest in me.” Kentucky is still very much in the hunt and has impressed Morris. “I like their past program history and the way they dominate.”

Recruiting is a strange process and there is no telling how this will finish, but time will tell. GO JACKETS!!!
