ACC Expansion one factor in landing top GA linebacking recruit

So, Travis Chambers says that the expansion of the ACC played into his decision to commit to GaTech. He wants to compete AGAINST top competition and this helped push him over the edge. Let's hope this is really true and a trend. Evidently VaTech has landed both a good hoops recruit and a good football recruit as a result of joining the ACC. I think VaTech will really have a lot to gain - they will compete so much more effectively for those good Virginia players who just don't want to play in the Big East. Of course, this means that UVA will be a direct loser in some cases. Of course they are the main reason VaTech is in the league, so they can live with it.

By the way, Travis Chambers was recongnized for his game last week on the high school AJC "honor roll":

Travis Chambers, who recently committed to Georgia Tech, had 19 tackles as the Chamblee defense held St. Pius to 119 total offensive yards.
