Bobby Cremins is back in coaching

Well, if this isn't a hoot I don't know what is. Our beloved Bobby Cremins will accept the head coaching job at College of Charleston next week. I could not be happier for him, as you could tell he wanted to get back in the game. He just wanted the situation to be the right one.

In the ultimate of ironies, he will be replacing someone who had the job for less than 24 hours, as Winthrop head coach Gregg Marshall "pulled a Cremins" after accepting the job and then changing his mind. Huge ironies and whackiness there.

At the end of the day, it's great news for BC and Jacket fans should be happy. It will be fun to see him patrolling the sidelines again. However, will it be possible to see him in anything other than a gold tie?????? Hard to imagine.

Cremins retired with a head coaching record of 452-303, so he's only 48 wins from 500.

Oh yeah - one more irony. Dennis Scott's son is a sophomore guard on the COC team. Small world...........
