Beesball: #10 Jackets finish off sweep of South Florida

The Georgia Tech baseball team sweeps South Florida this weekend. Outside the ACC the Jackets are one tough team. A very good performance against a pretty good South Florida baseball team. The 10th ranked Jackets improve to 36-12 on the season, and should move up in the rankings this week. Go Jackets!

Andy Hawranick drove in two runs and John Goodman went five innings in his first college start to lead Georgia Tech to a 4-3 victory Saturday night and a sweep of a doubleheader with South Florida.

The Yellow Jackets (36-12) won the afternoon opener 7-2 as freshman David Duncan allowed one unearned run in eight innings and Jeff Kindel had three hits, including a home run.

The victories over USF (20-28) improved the Yellow Jackets record to 22-2 against teams outside the Atlantic Coast Conference.
