Hoops: Macon Telegraph says J.Crittenton....

... is expected to commit to the Jackets Wednesday. I don't think Brian Murphy would go out on a limb like that unless he had done his homework and expected it to happen - or even had some level of confirmation from somewhere. So that's good news....... A quote from recruiting analyst Britt Oetttinger of PrepStars.com:

"My concern all the way until this year is that he played far too out of
control to be an effective point guard at the big-time college level," said
Brick Oettinger of PrepStars.com, who's watched Crittenton since he was a
freshman. "But he has become very effective now. He's definitely a point guard.
He's making better decisions when he drives.""My concern all the way until this

Bottom-line is that JC seems VERY much in the mold of Jarrett Jack. He is THE most physical PG in his class. I don't think there's any doubt about that. Just what Coach Hewitt likes. The primary questions around his game are his outside shot, particularly off-the-dribble, which has evidently improved and his transition to PG. All reports now are that he is a legit high-major PG, and obviously Coach Hewitt has made him the #1 target for a reason.................
