Where are they now - Joe Hamilton

Little Joe Hamilton will be returning to ATL. Why? His AFL team will be playing the Georgia Force this weekend at Philips Arena. Be there, or be a geometrical shape....

Here's an overview of a few AFL QB's and this on Hamilton:

Hamilton joined the Predators last season and started 14 games as a rookie, passing for 2,966 yards and 57 TDs with eight INTs. He picked up right where he left off this season, completing 264-of-392 passes for 3,187 yards and 60 TDs with 11 INTs in 13 games. His passer rating of 116.9 ranked fourth in the AFL in ’05. Originally drafted by the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2001, Hamilton has also spent time in NFL Europe. A former Heisman Trophy runner-up, Hamilton is an experienced quarterback, but he’s still learning the intricacies of the AFL. Hamilton only played in one of the Predators’ two match-ups with Georgia during the regular season, passing for 307 yards with four TDs and an INT in a 49-47 loss at Philips Arena.

Strength: Is a proven leader and is fortunate to have a reliable safety net in WR/LB Cory Fleming...Can also be a threat on the ground, especially near the goal line...Has 15 rushing TDs in two seasons (8-2004; 7-2005).

Weakness: Has been criticized his entire career for his lack of size (5-10, 190)...Sometimes has trouble finding passing lanes on 5-step drops, but has enough athletic ability to get the job done.
